Stevens Model 5100 12 gauge double bbl shot gun

This is the shot gun I beleive was in the book Trap lines North. Can I prove it? No but what I do know is Harold Leece bought this gun off of Lindsay Vanderbeck in 1964 or 65. It's possible both Jim and Lindsay each owned a 12 gauge double bbl shot gun but what are the odds? Stevens built this model between 1931-1941. I think after the war Jim didn't pursue the kind of life he had before and Lindsay did still hunt and ended up with Jim's shot gun. These of course are only my thoughts. What do you think?
