First read TLN in high school in 1958. Living in south Louisiana I just couldn't imagine running a trap line in all that cold weather and snow. Down here we trap nutria, mink, beaver, fox, coon and bobcat. A lot of trappers go after coyotes too but I stick with the coons, mink, otter and the occasional bobcat. I can't remember how many times I've read TLN but each time I do I enjoy just as much as I did the first time. I'm glad there's still a lot of interest in the book but wonder, with the government trying to take our guns, just how much longer we will be able to hunt and trap .
