from Southern Skies. I contacted Northland Outfitters and they suggested Southern Skies also, so I ordered it from them, paperback. If I ever find an original hard cover for a price I feel comfortable with, I'll buy it. I have this thing for old Chestnut wood canvas canoes, I have 5, and my wife is pretty understanding about that so I don't want to push my luck. I'm planning a canoe trip to the Nakina area in August. A friend of mine lives in Geraldton and has had high praise for the Marshall Lake circuit, so that's my plan right now. I plan on staying at Northland Outfitters before and after my 10 day solo trip in their cabin. By then, I guess I'll be curious about the area as others here are and I will try to explore a little and get the feel for the book and area it took place.
I ordered the book Paddle Pack and Speckled Trout from Northland, but they are in Mexico and won't be at the camp till late April to send it to me. Has anyone got any thoughts on that book?

You will like the Pack, Paddle and Speckled Trout book too. There are two of the main characters from the TLN book in the later book. Both Jim Vanderbeck and Emile Cote are featured as guides in the trout book. Give us feedback after you finish the books and read TLN first!

Thanks Chris,
I'll read TLN first, then Pack, Paddle and Speckled Trout.
