Hi to all, fantastic info. My father was Big Lindsay's nephew. I can see why Lindsay moved his family to Northern Ontario. The scenery as far as I can see is very similar to Riley Brook and the surrounding are where they moved from. I was in contact with MarySue (Jim's daughter ) for awhile but lost it somehow. If anyone can put me back in touch with her I would appreciate it. I thank JoAnn every day for getting in touch with us and for sharing info and pictures with me. I am trying to put together my Vanderbeck ancestor story and y'all have bee very helpful. My dad grew up across the brook from Big Lindsay. Jim came back to vist at least one time after he grew up. My Dad and three of his brothers were in the army in WWII. They were all woodsmen and guides in their time. Thank you for all the interesting stories. I was especially in terested in Maude Ellis Venderbeck's relative, R. Hoyt, I believe. I spent a long time trying to find out Maude's maiden name. I did not know she was from Plaster Rock. That is where I went to school - about 30 miles - from our home in Riley Brook.
